Michigan Tigers Technical Academy (MTTA) has a strong commitment to providing excellent soccer instruction in a safe environment. The players will have an enjoyable, positive learning experience. Our coaches have a strong passion and dedication to soccer with a commitment to sharing their knowledge with players. We focus on skill development to build confident and creative players. Our coaching methods benefit our players and parents, because they are instrumental in teaching good sportsmanship, respect, and an overall love for the sport.

Our coaching staff interacts with players in a positive and friendly manner. We challenge our players to push beyond their own expectations.

Michigan Tigers Technical Academy features

 

     - Dribbling, Shooting, Passing and Receiving: Soccer is a simple game if one knows how to dribble, shoot, pass and receive that’s why our main focus on passing, receiving, shooting and dribbling so our Players become more confident and have better control and cleaner touch on the ball.

  • Fast footwork: loads of quick and fast paced skill builders to create a feel for laces, inside and outside foot. These are the primary surfaces used to strike a ball.
  • Technique striking the ball: Weekly attention to the art of striking the ball: plant foot, body shape and power vs placement.
  • Finishing: Various finishing activities and games will teach players the art of recognizing and executing the opportunity.
  • Recognizing the opportunity: Don’t pass up a chance to score, recognize the opportunity and act upon it.
  • Fast paces games: Provides game like situations with plenty of finishing opportunities.
  • Increasing field Awareness: Players are challenged to become thinking players.
  • Speed of play and Patterns of play: Increase ball rotation allows easier break down of the opponent’s shape.
  • Recognizing the 1v1 in the attacking Third: Take on players when opportunity presents itself.
  • Small Sided Games: The small- sided games allow the players to experiment the 1v1 situation. Our coaches encourage the players to show their skills and creativity.

What you should know?

 

  • Each session consists of six one hour training sessions.
  • All sessions will be run by Tigers staff coaches
  • Space is limited (Max 30 players)
  • Each Player receives a free MTTA jersey.
  • Players must wear proper gear for training (black socks, black shorts, shin guard and MTTA jersey).
  • Each player receives a free MTTA jersey.
  • We will split the players base on their level not the age. Players have to be challenged differently.
  • Players should arrive 15 minutes early to the training session to begin on time.
  • Players must bring a soccer ball and bottle of water.
